Plant: Rytidosperma clelandii

Family: POACEAE

Common-name: a Wallaby Grass

A robust, perennial grass forming erect tussocks, quite ornamental.

Named in honour of Sir John Cleland (1878-1971), a prominent medical doctor,
botanist and fungi expert in South Australia.

The grass is restricted to the Mt Lofty region, near Adelaide, SA.
