Synonymy and types

Basionym:  Acacia tenuifolia (L.) Willd. var. producta Grimes, Brittonia 44: 267.  1992.  - TYPE:  SURINAM.  Common in riverine forest, 2-10 km below confluences with Oost River, Lucie River, alt. 225 m, 4 Sep 1963, H. S. Irwin, G. T. Prance, T. R. Soderstrom, and N. Holmgren 55373 (holotype:  NY).
