Senegalia lozanoi Britton & Rose ["lozanii"], N. Amer. Fl. 23: 115. 1928. - TYPE: MEXICO. NUEVO LEÓN: Sierra Madre above Monterrey, alt. 2800 ft., 29 Mar 1906, C. G. Pringle 10216 (holotype: NY; isotypes: CAL, F, G, K, MEXU, MO, MSC, NY). NOTE: This spelling of this name should be modified because it probably commemorates Filemon Lozano, Pringle's collecting partner [See Art. 60, Rec. 60C.1(a)]. Pringle's diary (Davis 1936) indicates that Lozano was with him when the specimen was collected.
