Born on 17th January 1957 at Proserpine, Queensland,
Hans was educated at Proserpine and Scarborough. He obtained an Associate
Diploma of Applied Biology from the Queensland Institute of Technology in
1979 and worked for the Zoology Department, University of Queensland, before
joining the Queensland Herbarium in 1981.
Hans has participated in major collecting
trips in the Lake Buchanan area, some National Parks in S.E. Queensland, and
on the Keppel Bay Islands.
