Born in Adelaide in 1951;
He came to Darwin in 1978.
He was employed
with the Conservation Commission of the
Northern Territory until 1990.
He then became a
self-employed as a writer, researcher and
botanical consultant.
He has travelled extensively throughout the Top End, gaining a deep
knowledge of the local flora.
As a photographer, he has concentrated on native plants
and the natural landscape. These interests
have been further pursued as a keen camper
and bushwalker.
Through his photography,
writing and involvement with all aspects of
conservation he has expressed his commitment to the promotion and protection of the
natural Australian environment.
