(b) to provide a national focus for and play a co-ordinating role in national botanical data management;
(c) to create a centre of excellence in the field of plant systematics, horticulture and conservation biology on vascular plants, non-vascular plants and fungi as a basis for sustainable management and use of Australian vegetation, with the capability of pursuing research, education and training relevant thereto;
(d) to ensure that the Parties with their differing disciplines and background will, through their participation in the Centre, add value to each other so that the performance of the Centre will be greater than that of each Party performing independently; and
(e) to Commercialise Centre Intellectual Property in a manner that maximises the benefits flowing therefrom for Australia.
